On Earth Day

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth...God saw all that he had made and it was very good.   Genesis 1:1, 31

T-ball & Baseball

Aubree is beyond excited this year about T-ball.  She bounces off the walls on her ball days until time to get dressed and go!

I think she is going to bite her tongue off if she doesn't put it down!
I think this was a strike since the ball is showing up behind him!!!  I will have to try to get a few more pictures this season of them......

Easter 2012

Easter means that this life on earth is not all there is. Jesus went “to prepare a place for us” in His Father’s heavenly mansions for all eternity. Jesus died for our sins, paying our penalty, so that we could be forgiven. He was resurrected, to prove that death has no hold on those who repent and accept Him as Savior. This life on earth is a prelude to eternal joy with our Lord. Easter is a celebrationof our eternal destiny. ~ Joanna Fuchs
So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Matthew 28: 8-10
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:40
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:3-5

Loving honesty.....

It isn't hard to look at them and tell the differences in their personalities.... :)

Even though Colby is quieter and more reserved, he says some things (like most kids) that crack me up! He just rattles them off in his dry, matter-of-fact way..... The other night he ran his hand down my arm and said, "Wow! You are getting know....a Hispanic." I think I was actually about to say "thanks".....when he pinched my elbow where the skin bunches together and said, "and your arms are getting wrinkle(y) old person." Then, he just smiled and shrugged with some hesitation, combed his hair, and left. :)

Some? A little? A hair?

Easter pictures will, hopefully, come this week, but until I have a chance to go through some.....

MOSTLY, everyone we come in contact with says Aubree Cate definitely looks like Al (or Mrs. Libby). We meet the occasional person (mainly ones that do not know Al) that say, "Yep, that's you!" I know everyone fights tooth & nail to find a glimmer of something in his/her child that will favor your own features. I've always said that I THOUGHT Aubree favored me a bit as a baby....Feel free to think NOPE! Everyone else does :)

Side note: DO NOT judge me by this kindergarten picture......judge Mama! It is the most forlorn looking picture!!!! :) I don't have a baby picture right off hand of Al, but whatever :)

If you are still on the "keep dreaming" with Aubree...maybe a little something with my man Colby? It usually goes about 50/50 with him..... He gets all his crazy pickiness from his father, though! :)

Church Egg Hunt

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.... Romans 5:1

Initially, we didn't think we would get to participate in the egg hunt, but Colby's age division ball tournament was cancelled this week, so it worked out. I feel sure the little bit of huffing and puffing I heard while getting this one snap is nothing compared to tomorrow! :) D.J. & Colby

4 -7 age group getting ready......

Fun, fun......

C's age group.... Get ready! Get set!

GO! It was funny how the boys kind of traveled in a pack..... the girls planned and were the only ones listening when it was announced that the eggs were hidden in another area no one had ventured to; therefore, girls scored! :) Go figure!
Aubree had to "assist" when Colby was counting his eggs.... And that's my boy that lined his up while counting.... definitely not the quickest method, but the neatest, I suppose! :)

The adults had a hunt too, but I came out a total loser in that! :)

First Beach Day of the Year..

To celebrate the middle of spring break, AC and I, along with Sasha/Della, met Dell and her family at St. Simons for a beach day....the kids were super excited as were was a great day for fellowship!

We initially met up at Bailey Boys for some little girl shopping.... It was disheartening to realize that material costs more and choices become fewer when you get as old as Aubree. :(
Side note: Since she was older, Aubree stepped up the bossiness with Della! Immediately, she took Colby's most common position in pictures (kneeling), and she made Della assume her usual position! :)

Dell and her family were the gracious hostesses and fed us lunch......THEN, beach time!
Miss Cutie Patootie LOVED the sand!!! Della was like a crab that was set free after being held hostage for a month!!! :) All the kids contributed to digging out a hole.....

EXCEPT mine, of course!!! She begged for someone to "swim in the deep end" with her..... she doesn't have much affection for sand digging.
Baylor was the one that usually got tired of listening to her the quickest and went on to the water!!! :)
Something about the beach and eating!!!!! Every belly got full of gummies!!!

We enjoyed the day so much!! I feel certain I will be having Spring Break alone next year, so Aubree will probably miss playdates with her friends! :( It has been a great break this year..... I'm sad to see Monday come back!

The Last Hunt...

There was a time when "the year of the lasts" seemed so far away at Mrs. Wanna's, but we are living that year....the last Christmas, last Valentine's, last Easter, etc. We love the egg hunts at her house! She makes them really special for the kids - complete with a picnic snack!

Look at this kid......that is great anticipation while waiting for the Ready...Set....Hunt!

Wasn't long ago when I was guiding her around and pointing to the egg for her to pick look at her go!

John McLean

Della took no mercy on the cupcake!
Cutie Chandler....our Chan Man
Charlie Girl
Baylor delivered a juice box just for Aubwee!
Love this girl and her valued ponytail! :)
I am going to miss this soooo much next year!
