Girl Time..

This chick and I are about to have ourselves a girl Spring Break! I don't know entirely what that means for us except that I'm going to hear more "mama!.., can you?....you know what?....come here for a second....I want.....why does?.....what does?......will you?.....guess what?....pretend you are...." than my ears will know what to do with!!!! :)

What I do know is that I have plenty to do, and I'm hoping to make good use of my time!

Sunday snaps...

It's been a little while since I've snapped some pictures after church. This past Sunday probably wasn't the idea day to pick, since we ate at church so both kids were looking like they sweated through a mathan run. I had to get Colby to push his shirt back in and make sure I cut out the lower portion of the clothes since he was was carrying bright green grass stains on his knees!! BUT they were nice enough to plaster some good fake smiles, so they could be on their merry way! :)

Back to Basketball.

Yeah. The season has come & gone, and I'm just now reliving it. Whatever.

This was Colby's first year of basketball, but he decided he wanted to try it. Just when Al thought he was getting a break....

Only problem: Coaches do not pick the teams, so we played against Dawson. It was pretty tough, actually. Took constant reminding that cheering for Daw meant cheering against us, but Dawson played well this year and deserved it...regardless. Oh yeah....another problem: I spent most of my time in confusion and whispering "what? why? what does that mean?"
Dawson and Raleigh......

I think our team only had one boy that played last year, and the rest of the boys were newbies. It was an interesting season.... bad to say, but our luck kind of depended on where we played and who was calling the game. Some games it felt like we were playing 8 year old basketball and some games were more like football!

Aubree is always dying to play whatever Colby is playing. She likes practicing the dribbling and screams for me to stand at the door and watch!
Let me just warn you that this is a Saturday-and-we-are-not-leaving-the-house look! I'm totally aware the pants are too short! :) It's also the day I'm not obsessive about the clothing, because she doesn't argue with me during the week about what I pick out! So the least I can do is....

let her wear the mismatched socks she is sporting with the too short pants! We always have a "sock problem" in our house....more specifically, once the socks go into the washer, we never see its match again!
Sidenote: see the permanent marker going down her leg? At some point, she got bored with paper, I think. I can assure you, it doesn't bother her a lick!! :)

Until she knows I'm teasing her with the camera! :)
Her newest attempt at pity is saying, "you aren't being a good friend and doing what the Bible says!!!!" *Add tears*
