Christmas creeping in....

I managed to get the tree put together by Saturday night........the kids were all over the decorating bit this year. They hovered for a while waiting until I finally got to the ornaments! Once I opened the containers, I could hardly keep up with the snatching and digging....I was stressing a little about my "special" ornaments! They were not allowed to put their hands on those.....anything that comes in contact with a tile floor is done :)

This is pretty much the spot that Aubree navigated to for every ornament. She just wanted to line them all up right there. I had to try to watch closely, because she would occasionally just put the ornament on about two needles....we lost one for that reason! :) But that is cute...don't you think??? :)

Then, she couldn't help getting tooooo close to look and admire.....resulting in another accident!

After all was said and done and baths were completed, they wanted a yogurt snack....

Pardon the table manners.....

Monkeying around....

Pardon the pictures. The majority of them turned out terrible, but I couldn't lock in a focus quick enough on the kids before they were gone like lightning....seriously.
We don't always have a lot of time with Al's cousins, so Danielle, Mandy, and me took this afternoon to take all the kids over to Monkey Joe's for an afternoon of play.

It was actually my children's first trip over there, and to say they had a FUNTASTIC time would be an understatement!!!
I was able to actually get C to pause briefly before darting off....

Aubree ditched the hairbow quickly.... she had herself a fine and active time!! She didn't worry one bit about what anyone else was doing!!!

Bryson's baby Carrington...she pretty much sat just like this the entire time. No whimpering, no fussing, not bothering a sole.....such a good baby :)

I thought Aubree would catch some shut-eye on the way home since she didn't have a nap, and it was around 5:00 when we left, but NOPE!!! Mercy, it made me tired just watching!!! :)
Mandell, Hunter, and Colby.....Colby loves when they are here from Atlanta and he gets the chance to play with them!

We can't wait to go back......what a GRAND day!!!

It was such nice weather today before church.....I know it is due to be chilly for the season, but I'm not a fan of wind and harsh cold. I don't mind some brisk weather occasionally, but I'm just not a cold to the bone kinda girl!

Climbing the walls...

Germs, that is!!!
Sickness struck on our first day of vacation last Thursday, and it didn't slow down until it trickled to everyone.... Aubree had a horrible cough when she woke up on Thursday which was bronchitis. Just so you know, it didn't slow her down :)

By Saturday, Al and I could barely go. We both had fever, aches, nausea....the whole nine yards. It was a grand time with trying to take care of kids and Al needing to prepare for new chickens :) Luckily, we had some help from Grammy....

Colby did have the flu shot, but he woke up Monday night with 103 fever....I took him in the next day to confirm he had the flu.....*UGH* which diagnosed our weekend sickness too!! The kids are beginning to improve.....It wasn't our idea of an enjoyable weekend, but I am sooo thankful that it happened when it did, so we will be well during the holiday week!

Lighting the way..

Friday night, Tammy and I (along with Aubree) went to Statesboro for some errands and eating! Before we closed off our pocketbooks for the night and headed to grab a bite, we went in Hobby Lobby to drool a bit!! I have been back and forth trying to decide what I will do Aubree's room in once I have "big girl" furniture. I'm pretty sure that it will certainly have pink!! They had a nice sale on some home items, and when I saw this discounted lamp, I loved it! :)

The nice part is that I can change out that ribbon with a zebra print or whatever accent I eventually decide on! :) Ooooooh, I just love that store........and the gravy mashed potatoes I ate at Chili's!!! :)

Nail biter

Yep, at the age of 2.....she is! I can't believe I have a two-year-old that even understands the concept of biting nails. I NEVER have to cut her fingernails, because she has that under control! It is evident from this picture that I RARELY cut her big toes either! :)
It's gross and you're judging.....I know!
The fact of the matter's our Aubree Cate and we expect it, but I couldn't imagine that girl as anything else! :)

FYI: As soon as I can actually remember...I'm getting that bitter polish and painting Aubree's fingers and toes to try and tame this abnormal behavior :)
