Allergy Visits & Bible School

Wednesday morning we were up and at them fairly early. Colby had a check-up at the allergist, and Aubree had her first appointment for skin testing. For several months now, she has that clear runny nose and sneezes her head off every morning when she first wakes up (just like Colby).

Aubree was not entirely thrilled with the testing. Dr. Finkel said he could tell by the circles under her eyes and the redness and swelling inside her nose that she had allergies. I really expected her to react to more, but, as of now, she only reacted to DUST on the testing. The one thing we probably have the most of :) So, she'll take daily liquid medicine and nasal spray to alleviate symptoms. I've mentioned how much Aubree loves stuffed animals piled in her bed, but now I've limited her to two only (which doesn't make her happy), and I take them out when she falls asleep.
Everything was fine with Colby. We are still rocking on with the shots, and he will probably need two shots weekly until about July 2011. At that time, we will be able to cut down to every two weeks, and that will be sooo much better.
Afterwards, we ate at......Wendy's! That's where Colby always wants to eat, and since we were in a bit of a hurry because of Bible School that night, we did eat there. They had the Frosty for dessert and I didn't have my camera. I have GOT to get a picture of that girl eating her Frosty! Colby was full and cold, so he didn't want to finish his.....well, it didn't go to waste!! :)

Colby has been after me about getting one of the new Mario DS games. I promised we could on our next trip, so he brought his money and that was his purchase! Aubree has been wanting more glasses (and really she needed girl glasses), so we picked up a pair of those. For the rest of that day, she loved those glasses!

At Bible School Day #3, they made (colored) bandanas. For the life of me, I couldn't get Aubree to put hers on for a picture! She was a pickle that night, because her only nap was in the car on the way home from Savannah.
We've had a full week, so I'm looking forward to some down time!

VBS ~ Day #2

We are having Bible School this week, and it is centered around a cowboy theme. Tonight the kids made cowboy hats during their craft time. I think Aubree is having a good time with her first year of VBS. She sticks to me like glue until after dinner when they take her away to the two-year-old group. Once she is away from me, she is perfectly fine and does well. She talks all day about going back at night!

Major trip & girl time

This past weekend Al, Colby, and his family left for North Carolina going to a wedding. It was impossible to take AC on the 8 hour trip (if driven straight thru!) especially when she fusses on our 40 minute ride to Hinesville every day. It was decided that it would be best if I passed on Christi's wedding and stayed home with Aubree. Colby looked sooooo cute (at least his Mama thinks so) in his tux. I realize it is an awkward picture, but I had to crop out another little fellow next to him :)

He was especially proud of his job and getting to wear the tuxedo! He asked Al if he looked better than Uncle Hamp :) That's any easy answer - ha!

We missed having them, but it was kinda fun to have time for just us!! On Friday, we ran errands and then grabbed lunch in town with Tammy and the boys. On Saturday, we had a full pool day at Tammy's with only us since they had vacated the primises.... that was quiet, relaxing, and full of sweat :)
On Sunday, we got up and headed to church for Father's Day. Aubree looks like she is saying, "Praise the Lord!" :) I told Al that I'm convinced males are the mess makers in the house! My "clean up" duties quickly returned to normal.....

Cool Dudette

Aubree is committing one of my pet peeves by wearing the sunglasses inside, but I'll let it slide since she's cute!

Headed out

Yesterday we got ready to head to Savannah. Colby has a wedding this weekend that he is in, so we had to go pick up his little tux and try it on. He looked soooo cute in it, but I only took a picture with my camera phone, so I'll post his picture later :) After we were done, we headed to the mall to grab a bite to eat. I attempted to look for a while, but I just don't have the ability to concentrate when both kids are talking about two different things to me, Aubree wants out of the stroller, and Colby is losing his flip flop every few steps because he won't keep his foot all the way in his shoe!

I just decided it was much easier to make everyone happy with food and head home. We made a stop at Wendy's for the kids to get a Frosty (which I tell you was a sight because Aubree did not come up for air until every drop was gone), Krispy K donuts for me, and then Sonic to drink on the way out! :)

Church Camp

The DeLoach boys left yesterday heading to church camp for the week, so we met at McDonald's to get some lunch and to let the kids play before they had to go. Unfortunately, they were cleaning the equipment which disappointed the children A LOT....but makes me happy to know they kill the germs occasionally (I always wondered about that)!

We got our food to go and went to the park to soak up those germs. The breeze was nice under the shade...the wind always blows there when it doesn't blow anywhere else!
We hope they have a fun week...that is a long time to be away from home!!!

One of those days..

That pretty much sums it up!! The morning was nothing short of a circus, and it didn't really get any better throughout the day...

It took us until 1:30 or so to finally get ready and get outside the house for errands...even that didn't go according to plan!
No nap, and that is just fuel to the fire :) Actually, she wasn't too bad without one, it just meant no rest time for me :) One of our errands was visiting Grandma and Granddaddy which the kids get excited about doing. That was definitely the highlight of the circus day, and we are sooo glad we went!

Tomorrow is another day...

Chick-Chicks

This is what Aubree waits for every day! "Daddy, I go see cows and chick-chicks!" Every. Single. Day.

When she says "see chick-chicks", that is really what she means....she doesn't actually want to touch them or get near them, Aubree just wants to see them. Of course, Colby is too old to be scared anymore, but he used to be very nervous to get anywhere near them! We persuaded her to come close tonight, and she DID touch the chick! Briefly.

Oh how they love the farm animals!!
